Charles' father was baptised Florence the second child of Cornelius and Mary (Brown) Driscoll at the Schull parish church, December 9, 1836. From his book Kansas Irish, we are able to discover that Florence had at least three brothers:

Red Con of Ashtabula Harbor, Ohio
- According to Diane Giannini there are two Driscoll families in Ashtabula - those of said Red Con and those of her Black Con
- 1930 census of Ashtabula
  - Black Con
    - William and Cora born about 1886 and 1887 - with six children- William born 1911, Marcena born 1913, Robert F born 1916, Edward born 1919 , James born 1921 and Marjorie born 1924.
      - James Driscoll, graduated 1939 Ashtabula Harbor High School
    - Second household has a Florence born about 1892 and his brothers Joseph , Daniel and Robert.
  - Red Con (Cornelius Driscoll husband of Mary Donovan?)?
    - Third household is Michael J Driscoll ( 1871) and wife Mary J. (1881) and their 2 children Margaret and Joseph.
    - Michael b. 14 Nov 1869 Ireland, s/o Cornelius Driscoll and Mary Donovan, spouse: Mary; d. 23 Jun 1935, Ashtabula [Ohio Death Cert, online LDS]
