FOLLOWING  INFORMATION  (in red) for Vicksburg Cemetery in Renville County Minnesota, was  provided by William Moldestad Jr. who grew up in Renville County, Minnesota (Thank you very much for your help.)

Vesta Davis
Vesta V. Davis  buried  in Vicksburg Cemetery Renville County, Minnesota was probably  from South Carolina and was married  to R.W.Davis (age 36 on 1875 census) had 4 children: William age 9, Clararissa age 8, James age 5 and Robert age 2.
(1875 census information)

Jan Okins should be spelled  John Okins. He died 2/9/1878 at age 44. Be was born in Bedfordshire, England in 1834, the oldest of 8
children. He and his younger brother James served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He was inducted 10/11/1861 and served
with the 3rd Regiment, Minnesota Volunteer Infantry, Company K. He transferred to the Veterans Reserve Corps on 11/18/1863. He married Armina Kaziah Jenne (also known as Armina K. Chandler) and they had a daughter named Bertha Viola.

Christopher C. O'Brien was born in Canada in 1815. He was living in Maine with his wife Loanna on the 1850 Census. Both Christopher and Loanna were born in Maine. On the census, they had five children: Mary 10, Ellen 8, Susan 6, Elizabeth 5 and John 1. Christopher worked as a tailor.  This family appear on the 1870 Census in  Renville County, Minnesota where Christopher was listed as a farmer and their youngest child John (21) was still living with them.  Loanna were granted homestead certificates on 10/1/1873.

Maria Burch  has a middle initial of "J" on her gravestone.  William Moldestad Jr. believes she is Maria J. Burch who was the wife of Simeon Burch.  The 1880 Census says she died sometime in 1882 or 1883 at age 52 and is the wife of Simeon Burch and they had 8 children.  Both Maria and Simeon were from Indiana.  Simeon died 12/15/1898 and is buried in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.

Sylvester Brooks and his wife Phebe were from New York. They had three children:  Cara 14, Eda 12 and Grant age 7. On the 1870 Census Sylvester  is age 55 and a farmer. His wife is 48.  In 1900 Phebe Brooks is living with a son named Grant Brooks,  in Renville County, she is 79 and he is 37. Phebe died on 6/11/1908.

Nannia and Ida Bickel, should be  Nannie A.  and Ida M. Bickel, age 5 and 7 were the children of  J.J. and M.A. Bickel (possibly Jonas Bickel and Mary Ann Doyle Bickel.  The girls died on the same day 3/31/1876. After their death, their father received a homestead certificate in Henryville Township, 8 miles NE of Vicksburg.  The inscription on the bottom of the little girls grave is "Such Is The Kingdom of Heaven".
