JOHANN married SUSANNA H. ROGGENBUCK  daughter of FRANZ ROGGENBUCK and ELIZABETH ANNA LEO in 1882. SUSANNA was born on 9 Aug 1847 in FLOETENSTEIN,Schlochau,Prussia,West Prussia. She died on 26 Apr 1915 in NASSAU,MINNESOTA. She was buried in NASSAU,MINNESOTA.

Looking in to possibility of this being Susannah's second marriage due to census info that stated it was marriage #2 and the
fact that oldest daughter was born before marriage date (as well as long span of time between 1st two children. She is
buried in the Catholic cemetery in Nassau, Minnesota. Her daughter, Lizzie is  buried next to her. I've found various
spellings for Susannah's first name. Obituary found in Bellingham Times 4/29/1915 page 8, states that she "dropped dead
while preparing supper" and hadn't been previously ill.  The obituary states she was born in Germany 8/9/1847 and was 67
years 8 months and 15 days old at the time of her death.  She came to Bellingham, Minnesota in 1892 and lived there for 16
years, then moved to Nassau, Minnesota.

 3. MARIE FRANCIS MIELKE  (JOHANN PAUL) was born on 22 Sep 1884 in FLOETENSTEIN, Schlochau, Prussia, West Prussia. She died on 18 Feb 1918 in SEATTLE,,WASHINGTON,USA. She was buried in SEATTLE,WASHINGTON,USA.

Marie Francis (Mielke) Fraasch) died shortly after giving premature birth to a fourth daughter in Seattle, Washington on
February 18, 1918.  Her death certificate (King County, Washington death certificate Record No. 125, register no. 427).
Her cause of death was Erysipelas, an acute skin infection caused by the streptococcus bacteria, complicated by her
pregnancy.  The baby girl, born two months prematurely, was not named and died February 17, 1918, a day before her mother died, she was 10 hours old.  They are buried together in Calvary Cemetery, Seattle, Washington.

After Marie's death, her husband Otto put their three daughters into Burien Orphanage in Seattle.  The two older
daughters remained in the orphanage until they became of age.  The youngest daughter, Ada Florence, was raised by the
Harold Spalding (sports magnate) family of Seattle, they named her Barbara Spalding.  SEE ADA FLORENCE FRAASCH for
more information on this youngest daughter. At the time of her death, Otto and Marie and daughters were living in Lilliwaup, Washington. Her age at time of death, according to her death certificate and funeral records was 33 years, 4 months 26 days which gives her a calculated birth date of 9/22/1884.

MARIE married OTTO THEODORE FRAASCH  son of Heinrich "HENRY" FRAASCH and AUGUSTA DUSTERHOFF. OTTO was born on 26 Sep 1882 in JEFFERSON,,WISCONSIN,USA. He died on 24 Jan 1958 in SAN FRANCISCO,,CALIFORNIA.

Birth date confirmed by Jefferson Co., Wisconsin Registration of Birth. Death date confirmed by California Death
certificate 58-011956 Additional confirmation on the parents of Otto T. Fraasch comes from his grandfather's probate records dated 12/2/1909 Jefferson County, Wisconsin. The Minnsota Times 4/4/1904 published the following about Otto:  SAD ACCIDENT:  There was a party in the hall on Friday evening and our photographer was called to ta ke a flashlight picture.  After the picture was taken, Mr. Fraasch went to the hotel and was fixing his machine when it exploded and severed two fingers and the thumb of his left hand and made a hole through the palm.  The report was so sudden and strong that it smashed the show case, hurled P. J. Carstens to the floor and threw one of the severed fingers across the room, it landing on the newspaper which H. K.  Sorteberg was reading.  Dr. Keene was summoned and dressed the wounds and left Otto in a resting condition.

A Sheriff's Deed dated 2/8/1917 shows that Otto Fraasch purchased, for the sum of $1.00, all of Blocks 34, 36, 37 and 38
and a strip of land 200' x 60' bound on the north by block 38 and on the east by Ellinor Lane and on the south by block 35
and on the west by Chushman Ave, all in the town of Lilliwaup.  He purchased this property from James and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hollarn (Marie Mielke Fraasch's sister).

Otto had been a widower for a year, and he made an agreement with the Stephens that he would sell them the above land, 4
cows, 25 chickens and 8 ducks (already on the property....so I'm assuming it was the Fraasch family home in Lilliwaup Falls)
if they would agree to board and care for his three daughters.  He agreed to pay for board and care of $25.00 per month
and that the girls would be under the personal care of Martha Stephen's, wife of C. C. Stephen's, and Otto would be allowed
to remove the girls from the home at any time.  (Agreement and lease 35026 with C. C. and Martha Stephens).
I'm assuming that the agreement didn't work out very well because all three girls were put into an orphanage shortly
after this.

Baby girl Fraasch  was born prematurely and died 7 hours after birth. She was buried with her mother who
died within hours of the infant.  Both are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Seattle. (King County, Washington
death record no. 424, reg. no. 426).

Marmarth, Slope County, North Dakota, but shortly after that they moved to Hardin, Montana. See photo link. Declaration
of Intention to become US citizen filed in Bowman County, North Dakota 1908.  It gives his birth date as 9/22/1886 and his
last residence in Germany as Flotenstein.  His physical description is 5' 11", 168 pounds, light complexion, brown hair and blue eyes.

FRANK married SUSIE LENA BAKER  daughter of CLEPHANE HOLBROOK BAKER and HANNAH EMOGENE WISEMAN on 26 Nov 1908 in CORRELL,,MINNESOTA,USA. SUSIE was born on 18 Apr 1889 in CORRELL,MINNESOTA. She died on 7 Mar 1972 in HARDIN,,MONTANA,USA.

Obituary: "Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Lena Mielke, 83, of Hardin were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Congregational
Church.  Mrs. Mielke died Wednesday March 8, at a Hardin home.  She was born 4/18/1889 at Correll, Big Stone County,
Minnesota, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clephane Baker.  She married Frank P. Mielke November 26, 1908; after their marriage
they homesteaded near Marmarth, North Dakota, later moving into the town.  In May of 1920, the couple came to Hardin
(Montana) where Mr. Mielke worked in the construction business.  Mr. Mielke died in March 1962 at Hardin.  Survivors
include 2 sons, Richard of Hardin and John of Anchorage, Alaska; 2 daughters, Mrs. Earle (Dolly) Marsh of Hardin and Mrs.
Robert Yale of Hollywood California, 1 brother, Ray baker of Vancouver, Washington; 9 grandchildren and 13 great

He was buried in HARDIN, MONTANA.  Earl Marsh's 1st wife was Carrie Roberts of Custer, South Dakota. They were married in Hardin, Montana  by Judge Corkins (Book 2 page 386). This marriage was disolved 3/15/1928 by Earl Marsh (DR-2-1928-2003).

Obituary: Billings Gazette 6/13/1983   "....Born near Darlington, Missouri, he came to Sheridan, Wyoming  when he was 18 and worked on the Eaton Brothers Dude Ranch, X4 Ranch and Spear O Ranch in Montana before coming to Hardin (Montana) in 1924.  On March 5, 1928 he married Lucille "Dolly" Mielke in Billings. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Vern Buchanan of Boulder, Colorado; a brother Raymond of Gunnison, Colorado; nieces and nephews."

Obituary from Port Townsend Leader 1987 said that Elsie was the owner and operator of Elsie's Pleasant Harbor Restaurant
in Brinnon for many years, retiring in 1971.  She married Floyd Allen  Chapman in Seattle in 1926; he died in July 1985.  She
