Edna Clara Rodeback Carter, age 92, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, died peacefully on May 14, 2006 in American Fork, Utah. She was born August 12, 1913 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Edmand and Vilate Smith Rodeback. She married Lyman Carter on August 21, 1934 in Provo, Utah. The marriage was later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. Edna received her education in Pleasant Grove and Provo. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served actively in the Primary and Relief Society for many years. She is survived by her five children, Loretta (Leonard) Carter; Jerry (Sheila) Carter of Pleasant Grove; Patsy (Valden LaRell) O'Donnal of Spokane, WA; Ivan (Penny) Carter of Provo; Becky (Val) Scott of Monroe, Utah; 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother, Afton, Melva, Melba, Reva and Merlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 granddaughters, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., in the Grandview 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 1120 North 850 West, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Wednesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., or Thursday morning, at the Ward Chapel, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
