George in 1834 and settled on a farm in his native town where he remained until 1869, when he removed to Minnesota and took a homestead in Lake Mary remaining there until too infirm to work when he sold out and located in Alexandria. He has been an invalid for many years, being almost helpless for two. He was a kind, honest, conscientious man; one who could truly say that he never knowingly wronged any one.
