Colby, 76, of Main Street, died Friday, March 4, 2005, at her home. She was born in Pejepscot, Nov. 6, 1928, a daughter of John and Suzie Holan Chonko. She was a 1944 graduate of Brunswick High School. On Aug. 13, 1949, she married Ronald Colby. She was a homemaker for several years and was involved with her children's sporting activities. From 1967 until 1995 she and her husband owned and operated Colby's Market on Main Street in Pejepscot. They were world renown for their famous kolbasi in which each of them maintained half of their secret recipe. They shipped their kolbasi to people all over the world. She was a member of St. Andrews Mission Church in Pejepscot, where she served as a eucharistic minister. She was involved in town politics and with the Topsham Recreation Department. She was a member of the Jaycees, the Brunswick Emblem Club and the Merrymeeting Seniors Club. Colby (February 28, 1926 - August 22, 2006) Sigurd, Utah - Lucille Beatrice Christensen Colby, age 80, of Sigurd, died August 22, 2006 at the home of her daughter in West Jordan, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born February 28, 1926 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Lowell Titus and Sarah Elizabeth Hackwell Christensen. She married Irel Colby September 18, 1947 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 12, 1964. Irel died June 13, 1983. Lucille is survived by her children: Carolyn Jean and Robert Harris of West Jordan; Scott Jacob Colby of Sigurd; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Raymond and Uri Christensen of Sandy; Gale and Verna Christensen of Ivins; Afton Clawsen, Karen and Jerry Clay, all of Syracuse; Roy and Iola Christensen of Lexington, Ohio; Gary and Sandy Christensen of Layton. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dianna Lee Hales and Joy Irel Colby; three brothers and two sisters: Willis Christensen, Ronald Christensen, Kent Christensen, Janet Christensen and Mary Jean Clark. Crane 1913 ~ 2005 SALINA, UT - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, great great-grandmother, and sister, Mable Christensen Crane, age 92, died July 2, 2005 in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 1, 1913 in Red-mond, Utah a daughter of Alvin James and Ora Almeda Nielsen Christensen. She married Leland Smith Crane, May 14, 1934 in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, January 18, 1954. He died March 4, 1972. Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in the Relief Society and other organizations of the church. The highlight of her service was her mission in 1979 to Ft. Lauder-dale, Florida. She also worked in the Manti and St. George Temples as an ordinance worker. Mama was always helping friends and neighbors by sharing her freshly baked bread and goodies. She made many beautiful quilts and afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mable is survived by her children, Norma (Don) Holt, St. George, Carol (Terry) Ashman, Layton, Leland Stanford Crane, deceased, DeAnne (Eugene) Tidlund, Salina, Linda (Robert) Anderson, Payson, Dennis (Faye Loy) Crane, Monticello, Joyce, deceased (Garth) Ruff, Salt Lake City; 33 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Ned Christensen, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by three sisters; four brothers; son-in-law, Steve West-brook; and a grandson, Gary Westbrook. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Val Chartier, LaNeeta Sudweeks, Doreen Nielson, Dr. Blackham, and all the other care givers. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, July 6, 2005 at 12 noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street, in Salina, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the stake center Wednesday from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the services.
