James COLBRAN'S STORY

James is the sixth child of Robert and Dinah Colbran and their youngest son.

On March 6th, 1840
James COLBRAN marries Mary HUNNISET who may have been a sister to John Colbran's wife Jane.

James and Mary have four children in Sussex before migrating to Canada  in around 1850.

The exact date of arrival in Canada is unknown at present, however their fourth child, George, was born in England in 1848 and their fifth,  Elizabeth, was born in Canada in 1853.

James and Mary had eleven children and settled in Hudson, Quebec.

Today the descendents of James and Mary reside in British Columbia.

I thank Ted Woods for supplying valuable information on the Canadian branch of the Colbran tree and ask if there are any other Canadian     descendents, who would also like to contribute, to please contact me.
