In 1706, in Warbleton Sussex, Edward COLBRAN   Married  his second wife Barbara WOOD. Barbara had ten children, seven boys and three girls.
Their first two sons died in the years in which they were born and their fifth son also died early. Of their seven  remaining children this story starts with their fourth born child, Thomas.

Their only son John married Mary PATTENDEN on April 25th, 1782 and they had seven children with their third child and first son Robert continuing this story.

On March 6th, 1810 Robert married Dinah WALTER and they have seven  children.

JOHN COLBRAN'S STORY

Their first child John married
Jane HUNNISET on October 21st, 1830 and the had three children in Herstmonceux, Sussex  before migrating to  Australia.

On
July 25th, 1839  John, Jane and their three children arrived in   Sydney on the "Strathfieldsay" and from these Colbrans spring a large group centered in the central west of New South Wales. Also on the      Strathfieldsay was Johns twenty one year old, unmarried brother Edward    together with Jane's unmarried eighteen year old sister Ann.

To date I have not been able to find where or if Edward was married or had any children and I have not been able to find his death, but I will continue to look. Do you have any information on the elusive Edward  Colbran ?

I will not attempt to detail the generations in Australia, If you want to see those members of our family that I have been able to trace, please check the link  on the genealogy page and do a search, you may be there.
