BURIAL: A will on file in Frederick County, Virginia shows that a John Rice made his will there November 2, 1782, which was probated May 3, 1785, naming his wife, Hannah, and children, Mary, Sarah, George, Edmund, John, and James Rice. (Will Book 5. pp. 73) Mention is made of brothers, George and Edmund Rice, the latter of whom is listed in the Bedford County tax list of 1772, as living in what is now Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Tyrone Township.
