BURIAL: A will on file in Frederick County, Virginia shows that a John Rice made his will the re November 2, 1782, which was probated May 3, 1785, naming his wife, Hannah, and children, M ary, Sarah, George, Edmund, John, and James Rice. (Will Book 5. pp. 73) Mention is made o f brothers, George and Edmund Rice, the latter of whom is listed in the Bedford County tax li st of 1772, as living in what is now Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Tyrone Township.
