From: <geenyas@wavefront.com> In response to your posting on the Eastridge family forum (dated 0ct. 1998)... I think I have found two of Madison's daughters, both married into the Wilson line in Holt Co ., MO. Serilda Caroline, b. 28 Mar 1860, married John R Wilson, and died 1941 in Holt County, MO. Rachael Ann, b. 23 Apr 1863, married Thomas Tobias Wilson, and died 1933 in Holt Co., MO. NOTE OF DISCREPANCY: Serilda's obit said she was the dau of Madison and Sarah Elizabeth; Rach ael's obit (though it stated she was Serilda's sister) listed the mother was "Amanda" -- an y explanations for that? This info from "GONE HOME" by Eileen Derr -- a great resource for cemetary info and newspape r items from Holt County, MO. Can supply further info on Serilda and Rachael's descendants if you are interested. Steve Bragg aka: geenyas@visi.com
From: <geenyas@wavefront.com> I just happened across the Eastridge sisters while looking up my wife's Wilson line in Holt C ounty. The sisters seem to have married Wilson brothers, John and Tobias. My wife's line desc ends from a third brother, Jeremiah Heriod Wilson.
Most of the info concerning the sisters comes from the book, "Gone Home, A Directory of th e Deceased and Items of History of Holt County Missouri 1837-1981" by Eileen Derr, Private pr inting limited to 1000 copies, 1981, Farmer Printing Co., Maysville, MO. The book deals mostl y with recording tombstone information, but also contains a good deal of info from county new spapers. Serilda and her family are buried in Forest City, MO while Rachael and family appear to be buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetary in Mound City, MO. See if yo u can make sense of the info below...
