Yeck, who was a merchant, was born in Penn sylvania, and died Aug. 7, 1880; his wife, who is a native of Virginia, is still living; the y have five children. The subject of this sketch received his education principally at Quincy , and also attended school for some time at Beardstown, this county. He began the business o f life as a druggist and hardware merchant in Arenzville, where he has since carried on busin ess, doing a good trade. He is a Democrat.
