Christian 5011General Notes: In Robert Coddington's application for a pension, his mother, Sarah Hodgson, swore an affadavit that he fell ill with smallpox in March, 1777 and she brought him to the house of James Dunham, who then resided at Westfield. Further, Christian Dunham, wife of James Dunham also swore an affadavit that in February of 1777 her family removed from Woodbridge to Westfield on account of the British troops being in and about Woodbridge, and while they resided there Robert Coddington was brought to her house ill with smallpox.
