Stacy

Mathew Stacy and his family were in New Lisbon, Columbiana County, Ohio by 1809. They came from New York, but may have lived for a while in Berkley County, Virginia (now West Virginia). Mathew's sons John and William remained in Columbiana County. Mathew's son Thomas moved to Poland Township, Trumbull/Mahoning County, Ohio. Mathew's widow and Mathew's youngest son, Mathew , went to Morgan County, Illinois in the 1820s.

Two of Thomas's sons, John and William moved to Center Township, Wood County, Ohio in the 1860s. Another son, Joseph went to Cass Township, Hancock County, Ohio in the 1850s
