Mary Catharine Bricker Cochran
     Mary Catherine Bricker was born on 24 June 1792 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, but on 22 July 1792 according to baptism records.4,5,2,6 She was the daughter of David Bricker and Susanna Elisabetha Straw.1,2,3 She was baptized on 21 September 1792 at Zion Union Church, South Huntington Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, with Johannes and A. Christina Schneider as sponsers.6 She and John Lowrey Cochran, son of James Cochran and Margaret Lowry, were married on 20 January 1811 at Muskingum County, Ohio.7 She died on 21 May 1873 at Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, at age 80.8
     Mary Catherine was educated in a log school taught by Samuel Herrick about 1806 on Market Street in Zanesville.9 She lived at near Blocksom Hill, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, in 1807.10 John Lowrey Cochran and Mary Catherine Bricker deeded McConnelsville Lot thirty-four to Luther Barker in a deed signed on 19 June 1827 at Morgan County, Ohio. .11 She deeded property to Warren Timberlake in a deed signed on 26 January 1834 at Morgan County, Ohio. .12,13
     Mary Catherine and John appeared on the US Census taken 1850 at Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, with Hugh Macauley Cochran, Caroline Amanda Cochran, Milton Adair Cochran and Susanna Elisabetha Straw. Susanna was listed as Susanna Stinson.14 She and John appeared on the 1860 US Census taken 1860 at Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, with Caroline Amanda Cochran, Milton Adair Monroe, S Monroe and Robert S. Cochran. Caroline is enumerated as Caroline Monroe.15 She appeared on the census of 16 July 1870 in the household of Wyatt Campbell Cochran and Amelia Winter at Putnam, Muskingum County, Ohio. She was enumerated as Mary Cockran, a 78 year old born in Pennsylvania who "lives with son".16
