Benjamin Bozman

     Benjamin Bozman was born circa 1782 at Virginia.¹ He and Priscilla Brady, daughter of James Brady and Lydia (?), were married.^2,1
     Benjamin Bozman was head of household on the 1820 US Census at Westland Township, Guernsey County, Ohio. The household consisted of two males under 10, one male 26 to 45, two females under 10, and one female 16 to 26. One person was engaged in agriculture. Benjamin was listed as Benjm. Basman.³ He bought 80.22 acres at Muskingum County, Ohio, by a cash entry land patent on 10 March 1825.⁴ He was head of household on the 1830 US Census at Meigs Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. The household consisted of two males under 5, two males 5 to 10, one male 10 to 15, one male 40 to 50, one female under 5, two females 10 to 15, and one female 30 to 40. Benjamin was listed as Benjamin Bausman.⁵ He appeared on the 1840 US Census at Monroe Township, Perry County, Ohio. The household consisted of one male 5 to 10, one male 10 to 15, two males 15 to 20, one male 20 to 30, one male 50 to 60, one female under 5, one female 5 to 10, one female 10 to 15, and one female 40 to 50.⁶ He and Priscilla appeared on the US Census taken 3 October 1850 at Trimble Township, Athens County, Ohio, with Joseph W. Bozman, Susan Bozman, Cleason Bozman and Jane Bozman. .¹ He was a farmer.¹
