James Weeks baptism record
     James Weeks was born on 7 November 1812 at Barming, Kent, England.3,4,5,2 He was the son of William Weeks and Mary Russell.2 He was baptized at Week Street Chapel, Maidstone, Kent, England, by E. Ralph.2 He and Angela Kelley, daughter of Freeman Kelley and Charlotte Hussey, were married on 28 June 1834 at Morgan County, Ohio.6
     James Weeks and his mother and step-father, Mary Russell and Joseph Barrow, immigrated in August 1818 arriving at South Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey, US.7,8 The family was in Ohio by circa 1819.9,10 They were in at Morgan Township, Morgan County, Ohio, by circa 1822.10
     James was naturalized on 21 November 1833 at McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.11,12
     James appeared on the 1840 US Census at Morgan Township, Morgan County, Ohio. The household consisted of 2 males 20-30, 1 male 80-90, 2 females under 5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 15-20, and 1 female 20-30.13
     James and Angela deeded forty-five acres to George Johnson in a deed signed on 4 March 1844 at Morgan County, Ohio. .14
     James and Angela appeared on the US Census taken 18 July 1850 at McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, with Roxanna Weeks, Sarah Weeks, Harriet N. Weeks, William W. Weeks and Joseph B. Weeks. .15 James Weeks's house, located 2 or 3 miles from McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, may have been distroyed by fire on 29 January 1860.16 He and Angela appeared on the 1860 US Census taken 4 June 1860 at McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, with Harriet N. Weeks, William W. Weeks, Joseph B. Weeks and Mary Adda Weeks. .17
     James was an heir of his step-father, Joseph Barrow in the will written on 27 October 1867 at McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.18
     James and Angela appeared on the 1870 US Census taken 23 August 1870 at Morgan Township, Morgan County, Ohio, with Joseph B. Weeks, Mary Adda Weeks and Charlotte Hussey. .19
