Leonard Shroyer

M, b. circa 3 April 1772, d. 11 February 1852
     Leonard Shroyer was born circa 3 April 1772 at Pennsylvania.1 He and Martha (?) were married.1 He died on 11 February 1852 in Ohio.2 He was buried in Sherman Church Cemetery (Bethlehem Township), Stark County, Ohio.3
     Leonard moved to Pike Township, Stark County, Ohio, between 1812 and 1815.4
     Leonard was deeded property by Henry Bortner in a deed signed on 31 May 1815 at Stark County, Ohio. .5 On the same day Leonard deeded the same property to Michael Holm . .6 He was deeded lot 57 in Calcutta by George Brantingham in a deed signed on 10 February 1819 at Stark County, Ohio. .7
     Leonard was head of household on the 1820 US Census at Pike Township, Stark County. The household consisted of 3 males under 10, 3 males 10-16, 1 male 45 and up, 1 female under 10, and 1 female 26-45.8
     Leonard was head of household on the 1830 US Census at Pike Township, Stark County. The household consisted of 1 male under 5, 1 male 5-10, 2 males 10-15, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 50-60, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 15-20, and 1 female 40-50.9
     Leonard appeared on the 1840 US Census at Pike Township, Stark County. The household consisted of 1 male 5-10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 15-20, 2 males 20-30, 1 male 60-70, 1 female 15-20, 1 female 20-30, and 1 female 50-60. Leonard was listed as Leonard Schreier.10 He deeded 144 acres to Leonard Shroyer in a deed signed on 29 September 1849. .11
     Leonard Shroyer appeared in the household of Simon Shroyer and Rachel Myers on the US Census taken 15 October 1850 at Montgomery Township, Wood County, Ohio. .12

CAUTION 1: Leonard's parents and siblings have not been proven. No Pennsylvania Leonard Shroyer has been proven to be this Leonard.

CAUTION 2: Determining Leonard's children is at best difficult. I am not aware of any good parent child documentation for the children listed below nor for any other possible children of Leonard.
