     Milton Adair Cochran was born on 31 May 1863 at McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Hugh Macauley Cochran and Mary Royston Bozman.1,2 He and Edna E. Ford were married circa 1897.3 He died on 25 February 1925 at San Diego, California, at age 61 from injuries received earlier in an automobile accident.4,5 He was buried in Greenwood Memorial Park (San Diego), San Diego County, California.4

He was listed as Adair Cochran..11 He was a salesman.12 He lived at 1253 State in San Diego in 1901.13 He was a wholesale commercial merchant with W. A. Hutchins and R. D. Lamar in Cochran, Hutchins & Lamar at San Diego.14 He lived at 3345 G Street, San Diego, in 1902.15
     Milton and his wife Edna appeared on the US Census taken 21 April 1910 at 759 Twentyfifth Street, San Diego, California. The household included his children Velma C. Cochran, John Adair Cochran, Mary Madeline Cochran and Frances Mildred Cochran.16 He was a commercial trader for wholesale groceries.16 He was was a salesman for the Klauber-Wangenheim Company at San Diego.17 He applied for a U.S. passport on 21 July 1917 at San Diego18 + and reapplied for a U.S. passport on 19 January 1918.17 He was stated in his 1917 passport application he would first sail on the Grime on 1 August 1917 to Ensenada, Mexico.18 He and his wife Edna E. Ford appeared on the US Census taken 2 January 1920 at 721 25th Street, San Diego, California. The household included his children Velma C. Cochran, John Adair Cochran, Mary Madeline Cochran and Frances Mildred Cochran. John B. Cochran 58 from Ohio was listed as a lodger at this address but on a different census page.19 He was employed by a grocery company in fra---- sales.20
