Muskingum County, Ohio families include those of John L. Cochran who arrived there about 1806 and James Brady who was there by 1816.

Morgan County, Ohio families include descendants of Wilkes Bozman of Maryland and Roswell Whipple of Vermont and New York. Both came before 1820. James Weeks came from England about 1820. John Hughes was there by 1823 and his future son-in-law Newton M. Brent of Virginia arrived by the early 1830s. In 1837 John Lowrey Cochran II came down the river from Muskingum County and his brother Hugh Macauley Cochran joined him about 1850.

Wood County families include the descendants of Leonard Shroyer of Pennsylvania in the 1840s and at least two sons of Thomas Stacy of Mahoning County, Ohio in the 1860s. John Johnston came from Richland County, Ohio before 1840 and John Croft from Cuyahoga County, Ohio came by 1860. Both men had been born in Ireland.
