1	There once was this man who had a wooden eye.  He couldn't afford a glass eye so he carved himself a wooden eye, but he was still pretty self-conscious about it.  One night he decided to go to the local dance.  When he got there though he couldn't get any of the women there to dance with him until he spotted a young woman with a wooden leg standing in the corner all alone.  So he went up to her and asked her if she would like to dance. "Would I !  Would I ! she yelled happily.  But the man misunderstood her and yelled back "Peg-leg! Peg-leg!" and left.


2	True story:  My grandparents own a gelding horse.  One day they brought him out from his pasture  into their back yard for some reason.. He got loose from them and run off.  My grandfather and one of my uncles tried to catch him but were having no luck,when my uncle's mother-in-law told his youngest son to "go get your grandfather a apple."  To which my young cousin replied "Grandpa doesn't have time to eat an apple right now!"
