March 2001, a cool morning, misty rain.
Location from the Gin on Hwy 596, go North to the first dirt road. Turn West for one mile, cemetery on North side of the road. No markers.
Mr. Maple WILSON donated the land for this cemetery in 1935. There were eight known graves.
Minnie Elizibath SULLIVAN DARICEK, born June 21, 1897 and died November 29, 1935. Wife of Frank Joe DARICEK, Mother of Mary DARICEK KINDLE and GrandMother to Paula FOLEY. Minnie Elizibath DARICEK left eleven children and one stepson. Mary KINDLE is the wife of the late Robert R KINDLE long time Maple residents.
A man, last name GENTRY died in 1935. He was struck by lighting in the hen-house out at the old BUNDRANT place. He was the Father of Henry GENTRY who lived at Portales, New Mexico and worked for I.G.A. Mr GENTRY was standing on a metal chair holding a hammer when the lightening took his life.
Allen Dale FORT, a twin brother to Marie FORT ADAMS, wife of Bobby ADAMS.
A Baby, last name HALE, possibly the fathers name is Howard HALE.
Baby Boy SANDERSON, died 1942, son of L D SANDERSON and Peggy SANDERSON.
A 9 year old Girl, died about 1936. Fathers name Fransisco BONIFICIO. Her body was later taken back to Old Mexico.
Baby, infant of Mexican descent. No more is known.
Baby, infant parents last name LANDOWN.
