CAUTION ON AGES:
In this census the ages of people under 15 were supposed to be given 'as stated to the enumerator'. Those over 15 to the 'lowest of the term of 5 years in which the age is'. Thus an age of 29 would be recorded as 25. Ages over 70 were to be rounded down to the nearest 10 years. This rule was not always followed!!
