Arthur Robert TILBURY was a descendant of the "Tailoring Tilburys" (common ancestor, Robert TILBURY from Penn, Buckinghamshire) and founded his family in Bromley, Kent. By 1901 Arthur, Emily, and their three unmarried daughters (tailors), had moved to Bristol, Gloucestershire. Arthur's surviving son Joseph (by his first wife) married in Gloucestershire in 1906.
