Mormon Records:
While I was in Salt Lake City, I naturally searched for Clovers in Voluminous Mormon Church Records. I was looking for material on Rebecca Clover and James Nelson of Monroe County, Illinois.  There are a few other entries in the early church records

William Clover and Jane Clover, Pioneers of the Southwest and Rocky Mountain Regions, volume 5. These are actually Glovers.  I think that the index was created with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) which is prone to these problems.

Sciner (Cousins) Clover married 25 April 1888, Salt Lake City Record of Marriages B: 245. [Spouse is not in the index.]
Thomas Clover died 21 October 1929, Cemetery Records of Salt Lake City Book 3: 12.
