La Plata, Maryland
Frank Lester Clover, 82, of La Plata died March 9, 2007, at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall.
Mr.
Clover was a mechanic with the federal government. He worked for the
Department of Air Force at Bolling Air Force Base, from which he
retired and then moved to La Plata. He worked part time with the
Chrysler dealership in Waldorf. He took over the home duties to help
care for his wife when she was ill. He enjoyed walking his dog,
Wishbone, every day.
He was Army master sergeant World War II veteran.
Born Sept. 20, 1914, in Oklahoma City, Okla., he was the son of the
late Grover Clevland Clover and the late Margaret Clover. In addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine E.
Clover; and sisters, Mary Burns and Lucille Walters.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy Clover of Falls Church, Va.,
Thomas Clover of Chesapeake, and Terrence Clover of Mechanicsville;
daughters, Maureen Geisler of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Suzanne
Shadrick of York, Pa.; brother, Edward Clover of Las Vegas, Nev.; six
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A service and burial took place March 13 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery,
Cheltenham. The Rev. Isidore Dixon officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.
