Obituaries and Death Records from
Mesa FHC Collection
The
Mesa Family History Center in Mesa, Arizona has a large collection of
obituary indexes. These obituaries are
courtesy
of Karen Anderson who got the indexes at
the Mesa FHC. She
then copied the obituaries at various local libraries. I feel
very lucky to have all of these. We could wish that
other
large FHC in other states would have such collections. I have
added some census material to these people to help identify them.
I have also arranged them in what I believe to be family
groups.
The index
is available on line at the Mesa FHC site: http://www.mesarfhc.org/
See Search AZ Obituaries and AZ births and deaths at the top
of the page. These
death certificates also came from there courtesy of Karen Anderson.
Birth records must be over 75 years and deaths over 50 years
to be made public. For anything more recent, one must have
proof of direct line relationships to obtain access to vital records.
I have not included the
birth certificates here because they are too recent.
Added
material is in brackets [ ].
