Martha Jane Clover, wife of Mathew McGinnis
Daughter of Gamaliel Clover and Martha Jane Platt.

Most of the following information came from Jo McGinnis.  She got most of her information off the tombstones.  I also received much information from Carol-Jeanne Turk who has researched her family for many years.  I have also made extensive use of a small booklet published by Mary Kishler which was sent to me in 1998 by Carol Apelian.

Martha Jane Clover, daughter of Gamaliel Clover and Martha Jane Platt, was born 11 January 1836, died 1 November 1870.  She married 18 December 1860, Mathew McGinnis.  He was born 27 March 1836, died 13 May 1912.
Mathew and Martha are buried in Richland (Old Brick) Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Salem Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. So were John Foster McGinnis and Sarah Jane McClatchey, his parents.

There is some question as to whether Martha had a middle name or not. I have received info with and without it.  I personally don't know.  But I did notice that the county history here has Martha J. which does suggest that Martha Jane may be right.

History of Clarion County, (Syracuse, New York: D. Mason & Co., 1887)
