Gamaliel
Clover and Martha Platt
These pictures are the property of Carol-Jeanne Turk, a descendant of
William M. Clover. She freely gave permission for me to publish them
saying that they belong to all of the descendants of Gamaliel and
Martha Platt. They were originally sent to me by Cathy Gruben. The
quality is as good as I can get with what I have.
I have been trying to get hold of Carol-Jeanne Turk to get
good
copies but have been unable to do so. If anyone is in contact
with her, please let me know. The pictures may load very
slowly because they are large files. Please be patient.
If you download these files, they may look better on your
computer.

The dates on this page are from The
Lineage of John Peter Clover, by Mary Kishler.
Gamaliel
Clover was born 6 April 1799, died 27 December 1878. On Saturday, 18
June 1825, Rev. Baker preformed the marriage ceremony uniting Gamaliel
and Martha Platt. Martha was born 22 February 1798, in
Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, died 12 October 1880. Both are
buried in the Clover Cemetery (Mt. Pleasant), north of Mariasville,
Pennsylvania.

I think that Cathy Gruben sent this to me. The photo is dated June 89.
There is no name on the photo. The following is written on the
back;
" This is unique. Names of Gamaliel Clover family carved in a
slab of tree trunk at the entrance of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. You
can see Clover Hill from the cemetery." I don't know when it was
put up, but probably recently.
