Deeds in Oneida County, New York

I took this index from the FHL microfilm for Marilyn Symonds who was going to research in Oneida County. Note that there are some early deeds for other Clovers which goes along with the 1814 tax record indicating that some other members of William’s family moved to Oneida County in the early years. There are some discrepancies because wives were not required to sign deeds in New York and there is no legal requirement to register deeds.
The first set is land sold to Clovers. The second set is land sold by Clovers.
