Old Miller County, Arkansas

1830 and 1832 Tax Records of Miller County, Arkansas

(http://www.rootsweb.com/~armiller/City_Gov/TaxList1830-1832.htm  Link broken.  If you can find this info elsewhere, let me know.)

Isaac Clover appears on the 1830 tax list, but not on the 1832 tax list.

Miller County in 1830 comprised an area of the western part of Arkansas, part of the Indian Territory and part of Texas.  It was NOT in Arkansas. This occurred because of confusion as to where the boundary was.  Later Red River Municipality was formed in Texas from this land.  At that time, Old Miller County no longer existed.  Miller County was created later but not from the same area and does not have any Old Miller County records. Those are in Lafayette County,  Arkansas.
