Drefuis Nolan was born in December 1875 in Ohio.⁴ He was the son of Timothy Nolan and Margaret (--?--).^2,3 He was the, son of Timothy Nolan and Margaret (--?--). Drefuis married Dealia McDermott, daughter of John McDermott and Bridget Clabby, circa 1896.⁵ Drefuis and Dealia had at least three children but only two of these children were alive during the 1900 census. These children are Arthur and Bessie.
          Drefuis, age 24, and Dealia, age 22, were enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census at 315 Woodward Street in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. Also enumerated in this household were their children, Arthur (age 3) and Bessie (age 7 months), John McDermott (age 27, a day laborer), one of Dealia's brother. They rent their dwelling. Also enumerated in this apartment building was Timothy and Margaret Nolan, aged 50 and 56 respectively.
