Adam Donaker was born on 12 July 1820 in Ohio, USA.1 He was the son of Jacob Donaker and Elizabeth Potts.1 He may have been enumerated on the 1840 census for Frazeyburg, Muskingum County, Ohio, USA in the household of his father as a male aged fifteen to twenty years old.2 Follow the link to see the census image. Adam married Elizabeth Shipley, daughter of William Shipley and Naomi (--?--), on 2 January 1845 in Muskingum County, Ohio, USA.1 Elizabeth died on 12 March 1848, leaving Adam a widower.1 Adam married Eliza Ann Fitch, daughter of William Fitch, on 1 January 1850 in Coshocton County, Ohio, USA.1 Shortly after their marriage, Adam and Eliza moved to Bartholomew County, Indiana, USA. Eliza's brother, Nelson, and Adam's brother, Robert, had already moved there.1
Adam, age 39, and Eliza, age 33, were enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census for the Moores Vineyard Post Office in Ohio Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana, USA. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Margaret (age 7), Lucina (age 5), and Eliza (age 2). Missing is Isabelle, age 14. She was not reported of dying until 1883. Adam's real estate was valued at $1000.3 Adam worked as a farmer.3 Follow the link to see the census image. Adam died on 18 March 1867 in Bartholomew County, Indiana, USA.1 He was 46 old. He was buried at Mt. Healthy Cemetery in Jackson Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana, USA.1
