Bertha married John Daellenbach, son of Johannes Dällenbach and Elisabeth Lee Hodel, on 24 October 1907 in Dorchester, Clark County, Wisconsin.3 He was 28 years old; she was 24 years old. Bertha and John had at least 4 children. These children are Emil Frederick Gottfried, Conrad, Margret [Martha] and Rosa.

John, age 43, and Bertha, age 38, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Dorchester Village, Clark County, Wisconsin. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Emil (age 11), Conrad (age 9), and Martha (age 8). John, age 52, and Bertha, age 48, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census in Mayville. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Conrad (age 20), Martha (age 17) and Rosie (age 5). Their other son, Emil, is living in Milwaukee. Bertha's father (Carl, age 85) also lives in this house. They own their farm but no value is listed.
