KINSHIP BOOKS OF NEW YORK VITAL RECORDS (except cemeteries)
Webpage by Cliff Lamere 31 Aug 2003
Since Kinship is the largest publisher of transcribed church records for Eastern New York State, the list below will give you a pretty good idea of what is available. Some of the books are sold by Kinship, but not published by them.
VR is the abbreviation I use for Vital Records. Normally, this will be both bp. and mg. records, but sometimes it could be either one of them plus deaths. To determine exactly what the VR means for a particular book, go to http://www.kinshipny.com/ .
Except for cemeteries, the following list is complete as of 31 Aug 2003. To get the approximate titles of the books listed below go to the Kinship website listed in the previous paragraph. Kinship's catalog lists titles which are functional rather than exact. Some books are softbound. Some descriptions use the terms 'wrappers' or 'typescripts'. Some books do not have an index, an example being the transcription of the Albany Reformed Church. I have not listed it below because there is an indexed book available, and the records are also online (see my website for a link to them).
This webpage was made for my own use as a basic checklist. You may also find a use for it.
