In the name of God amen, I Stephen Clemont of the State of Georgia Wilkes County being of Sound Mind and disposing memory, Knowing it appointed for all men once to die, I give my body to the dust from whence it came to be decently buried at the decretion of my executors and my sole I resign to my dear Redeemer and as for my estate I dispose of in manner and form following.

Item I lend to my beloved wife Sarah Clemmont all my estate real and Personal To wit, my Lands Negro man Ceser my Negro woman Nully and her Son Antony and all my Stock of horses Cattle & hogs Household furniture plantation Tools and any other that I am possessed of, and that She may have free and ?asiable possession of all my estate during her natural life, and at her death my will and desire is and also Item I give to my beloved Nephew Aaron Clemmont all my Land and my Negro man Seser to him and his heirs forever, Also Item I give to my friend John Abston Son of Joshuaway Abston my Negro woman Nully at my said Wife Sarah Clemmonts Death, and as touching her Child antony or any Child She may have, at my wifes death my will and desire is they may with the rest of my estate not before bequeathed be equally divided between the above Aaron Cemmonts and John abston share and share alike, also I leave my well beloved wife Sarah Clemmonts my Nephew Aaron Clemment and my Trusty friend Jesse Heard and James Antony whom I nomite and appoint my executors of this my last will & testament this thirty first day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety six.

Personally appeared before before me Jesse Heard the Subscribing Witness to the annexed instrument of writing perporting to be the last will & testament of Stephen Clemont late of this County Dec.d who being duly sworn saith that he saw the said Stephen Clemont Sign Seal publish and declare the annexed Instrument of Writing to be his last will and testament and at the time of his So doing he was of Sound disposing mind and memory to the best of his knowleage & belief. Sworn to this is me this fifth day of February
