Recorded 19th May 1825 THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, Grant No. 23240 There is granted by the said State of Tennessee, unto Daniel Clement assigne of the said Joshua Hadley A certain tract or parcel of land, containing Sixty acres by survey bearing date the 19th day of March 1823 lying in the twelfth District in ---- County on the waters of West Sandy in the eighth Section of the Sixth Range and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a stake with two black oaks white oak and dogwood pointers Standing twenty poles east and twenty five poles north of the northeast corner of an entry in the name of Jacob M Gavock for 120 acres Running thence east one hundred poles to a stake with an elm pointer in the edge of barrens thence south ninety six poles to a stake with hickory pointers in the barrens thence west one hundred poles to a stake with ash Sapling & poplar pointers thence north ninety six poles to the beginning. With the hereditaments and appertenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with appertenances to the said Daniel Clement and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, William Carroll Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the state to be affixed, at Murfreesboro on the 11th day of February in the year of our Lord, One Thousand eight hundred and twenty five and of the Independence of the United States, the 49th.
