Know all men by these presents that I Johnson Clement have this day bargained and sold and delivered to Edward M.Clement Three Negroes, Viz, Jacob, Joe & Nancy it being in consideration of Edward M. Clements Interest in certain Negroes loaned to his Mother & given to him by his grandfather Mat Moore as devised in his last Will, which Negroes or his Interest in the same he Edward M. Clement sold to his father Johnson Clement and gave him with others a Bill of Sale of his interest in said Negroes. The above named Negroes Jacob Joe & Nancy is in full payement his interest as devised by his Grandfather Mat Moore and I Johnson Clement do warrant and defend the title of said Negroes to Ed. M. Johnson his heirs & assigns against the claims of all Persons claiming under me my heirs or assigns in Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 11th day of September 1836
