Know all men by these Presents that I Hezekiah
Pigg of the County of Pittsylvania and State of Virginia for Divers
Causes and Considerations have made Ordained and Appointed my True and
Trusty Friend Jesse Robinson of the County and State Aforesaid my True
and Lawful Attorney for me and in my name and to my use to ask Demand
& recover and Receive of and from Elizabeth Pigg Exr. of Hezekiah
Pigg Decd. or any Other Person in Possession of the Lands and other
Property Which I Lay any claim in or to by Virtue of
my Father Hezekiah Piggs Last Will and Testament Giving and Granting
to my said Attorney my sole and full power and Authority to take pursue
and follow such Legal Courses for the Recovery Receiving & Claiming
of the Same as I might or Could do Were I Personally Present and upon
the Receipt of the same Acquittance or Other sufficient Discharges for
me and in my Name To Make sign seal and Deliver any Deed or Deeds of Conveyance
in my Name and and also one or More Attorney or Attorneys under him to
substitute and Appoint & again at his pleasure to Revoke, and further
And further to do and perform and finish for me and in my Name All and
singular thing or things Which Shall or may be Necessary touching or Concerning
the Premises as fully thouroughly & entirly as I the said Hezekiah
Pigg in my own Person Might or Could do in or about the same Ratifying
Allowing and Confirming Whatsoever my said Attorney Shall Lawfully do
or Cause to be done in and about the Execution of the Premises by Virtue
of these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal
this 7th Day of July 1786
At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 17th Day of July 1786 the Within Power of Attorney was Acknowledged by the Within Hezekiah Pigg to be his Act & Deed & the same was Ordered to be Recorded by the Court
