Deed DILLARD & CLEMENT

This Indenture
made this first day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven
hundred and Seventy three Between Jesse Abston of the County of Bedford
of the one part and Thomas Dillard Jr. and Martha his wife and Isaac
Clement and Ann his wife of the County of Pittsylvania of the other
part Witnesseth that the said Dillard and Clements
for and in consideration of the Sum of fifty Pounds current money of Virginia
in hand paid by the said Jesse Abston the Receipt whereof they the said
Dillard & Clements doth hereby
acknowledge and the said Jesse Abston and his Heirs therefrom acquitt Exonerate
and Discharge hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth
Grant Bargain Sell alien feeof and confirm unto the said Jesse Abston his
Heirs or assigns all that Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the
County of Pittsylvania and on both Sides of Ready Creek Containing by Estimation
Two hundred and fourteen acres be the same more or less it further being
had to the said Pattent baring date the Twentieth
day of June One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy two the Curses will
fully appear Together with all and Singular the Houses Buildings fences
Orchards Wods Ways Waters meadows feedings and all other profits and advantages
that is Given by the said Pattent to the said Jesse Abston his Hiers or
assigns from us our Heirs & c. and that the said Jesse Abston and his
Heirs or assigns may at any time hereafter enter into and upon have hold
use occupy possess and Injoy the said Land and premises without the Demand
Molestation or Disturbance of them the said Thomas Dillard Jr. and Isaac
Clements and Each of their Heirs and further the said Thomas Dillard
and the the said Isaac Clements
undertake for themselves and their Heirs that at any time hereafter at the
Request and proper costs and Charge of the Law of him the said Jesse Abston
that they or their Heirs will make or Execute or Cause to be made and Executed
Such further or other Reasonable acts of Conveyance or assurances as Shall
be adjudged Necessary for the Quiet Injoyment of the above mentioned Granted
Land and Premises In Witness whereof the said Thomas Dillard Jr. and Isaac
Clements have hereunto Set our hand and Seals the day and year first
above Written
Received of Jessey Abston fifty Pounds Current money of Virginia it being full Consideration for the within Mentioned Granted Land and Premises Witness our hand this 1 Day of Jany. 1773
Memorandum That on the 1th Day of Jany 1773 quiet and Peaceable Possession of Livery and Seizen was had and Taken by the within Named Thomas Dillard jr. and Isaac Clement and by them Delivered to the within Named Jesse Abston according to the form and Intent of the within Written Deed
At a Court held for Pittsylvania County of the 21th Day of May 1773 This Indenture together with the Memorandum of livery and Seizen and Receipt hereon Indorsed was acknowledged by the above Named Thomas Dillard jr. and Issac Clement to be their Respective acts and Deed and Ann wife of the said Isaac being privily Examined as the Law directs Relinquished her right of Dower in and to the above Granted land and Premises all which was Ordered to be Recorded By the Court
