  This Indenture made this xx day October in the year of our lord God one thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Eight Between Edward Wade of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and Stephen Bannett of the aforesaid County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Wade for and in Consideration of the sum of Ten Pounds current Money of Virginia in hand paid by the said Stephen Bannett Receipt whereoff the said Edward Wade hath hereby Acknowledged hath Granted Bargained Sold aliened infeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents do hereby Grant Bargain Sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Stephen Bannett his heirs and assigns Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing Two hundred and Twenty Six acres be the same more or less Lying and being in the County of Pittsylvania on both sides of the frying pan Creek Joyining James Wades Line and Running Down Both sides of the Said Creek to Christopher Sullans Line & the Reversion and Reversions Remainder & Remainders thereof & all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the said Edward Wade of in and to the said Land and Premisses & Every part and parcell thereof to have and to hold the said Land & premises with the appartances unto the said Stephen Banett his heirs & assigns forever & the said Edward Wade do hereby for him Self his heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns Covenant promise and Agree to & with the said Stephen Bennett his heirs & assigns that he the said Edward Wade the aforesaid mentioned Land and Premises with the appurtenances unto the Said Stephen Bennett his heirs and assigns against all Persons whatsoever will warrant and forever Defend in Witness whereof the said Edward Wade hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal this the day & year first above Writtin
