This Indenture made this 17th Day of November ano domini one thousand Seven hundred & eighty three Between John Clemonts & hanna his wife of the County of Pittsylvania in Virginia of the one part and Henry Burch of the other part in Henry County & sd. state Witnesseth that the sd. John Clements for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty pounds current money of Virginia in hand paid by the sd. Henry Burch before the insealing & delivering of these presents the recipt whereof the sd. Clement doth hereby acknowledge & the sd. Henry Burch & his heirs therefrom acquit enorate & discharge hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien feef & confirm unto the sd. Henry Burch his heirs or assigns a good & lawfull wright to that track or parsel of land containing by estimation fifve hundred & thirty three acres be the same more or less Situated lying & being in the County of Pittsylvania & on both sides of the north & south forks of Sycamore creek & bounded as followeth Begining at a pine in James Calaways corner thence a new line South eleven degrees east one hundred & twenty six poles to pointers in the old line thence along the old line north seventy five degrees east one hundred & fifty seven poles to a pine north sixty two degrees east one hundred & forty poles to a pine south forty five degrees east two hundred & twelve poles crossing two branches to a red oak south twenty degrees east one hundred poles to a red oak south seventy seven degrees east Sixty poles crossing the south fork to a pine north ten degrees west eighty poles to a pine north twenty five degrees east eighty poles crossing a branch Just above its fork to a white oak north forty five degrees east thirty poles to pointers north twenty degrees east sixty six poles crossing Sycamore creek Just below the fork to a pine north sixty seven degrees west one hundred & eight poles to a pine south sixty two degrees west two hundred & fifty two poles to pointers south seventy eight degrees west seventy poles to the begining together with all and singular the houses buildings fences orchards woods ways waters & watercourses thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to use or properly claim or demand of him the sd. John Clement & his heirs unto sd. Henry Burch his heirs or assigns & that the sd. Henry Burch his heirs or assigns may at any time hereafter enter into & upon have whole use occupy possess & enjoy the sd. land & premises hereby granted without the denial molestation or disturbance of him the sd. John Clements & his heirs & further the said John Clement undertaketh for himself & his heirs that at any time hereafter at request proper cost & charge in the law of him the said Clement that they will make & execute or cause to be made & execute such further other reasonable act of conveyances as shall be adjudged reasonable for the quiet injoyment of the above granted land & premises In Witness whereof the said John Clement hath hereunto set his hand seal the Day & year above written

Memorandom that on the 17th of November 1783 quiet & peacable possession of livery & Seizen was had Jointly by the within named John Clement & the within mentioned Henry Burch & by the within John Clement delivered to the said Henry Burch according to the intent of the within written Deed certified under my hand the Day & year above written

At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 17th Day of May 1784
The within Indenture together with the memorandum of livery & Seisen and receipt thereon indorsed was proved by the oaths of three of the Witnesses thereto to be the several acts and Deed of the within named John Clements and the same was ordered to be recorded by the Court
