  This Indenture made the Twentyeth Day of June annye Domina one thousand and seven hundred and Sixty Between Benjamin Clement of the County of Halifax and Susanna his Wife of the one part and Isaac Clement of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Clement And Susanna his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen pounds Current Money by the said Isaac Clement to the said Benjamin Clement in hand paid at and before the insealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he the said Benjamin Clement doth hereby Acknowledge and the said Isac Clement his Heirs and Assigns thereof and therefrom doth hereby forever acquit Exonerate and discharge hath granted Bargaind and sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain and sell Elien and Confirm unto the said Isaac Clement his Heirs and Assigns All that tract or parcel of Land Containing by Estimation Two hundred and sixty six Acres lying and being in the County of Halifax on both sides of Branch of Straight Stone Creek and Bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at Francis pollards Corner red Oak thence new Lines north fifteen degrees west one hundred and eighty one poles to a poplar on a Branch north fifty degrees East one hundred and ninty seven Poles to a Pointers in hunts line thence on his Line south seventy five degrees East weventy five Poles to a red Oak south twenty five degrees East one hundred and ten poles to a pointers in Pollards line and thence on his Line south fifty degrees west two hundred and eighty six poles to the first Station Together with all and Singular the houses Buildings fences orchards underwoods ways Waters meadows feeding and all together Benefits and Advantages whatsoever to the said Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the Estate wright Title interest use Property Reversion Clame or Demand of the Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife in or to the same or any part or parcel thereof To have and to hold the said two hundred and sixty six Acres of Land be the same more or less with all and every Apurtenance to the said Isaac Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Isaac Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever and to no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever and the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife for themselves and their Heirs do Covenat agree to and with the said Isaac Clement the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife shall and will Warrant and forever defend the said Land and Premises hereby granted with the said Isaac Clement and to his Heirs against the Claim or Claimes of all and every Person or Persons whatsoever and the said Isaac Clement hisHeirs and Assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter freely Peaceably and Quietly enter into and upon have hold use occupy Possess and Injoy the said Land and Premises granted without the Lawfull Lett Suit Trouble Denial Molistation or disturbance of them the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife their or either of their Heirs or Assigns or any other Person or Persons whatsoever and also that the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife shall and will at any time hereafter at the Request and the Proper cost and Charge in the Land of him the said Isaac Clement his Heirs and Signs make and Execute or Cause to be made and Executed such further or other Lawfull and Reasonable act and Conveyances and Asurance whatsoever shall be adjudged Necessary of the Quiet enjoyment of the above mentioned granted Land and premises to the said Isaac Clement hisHeirs and Assigns forever In witness whereof the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wive have hereunto set there hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Memorandom That on the within mentioned Day and year Quiet and Peaceable Possession of Livery and Syson was made by the within named Isaac Clement to him and his Heirs forever In witness whereof he the said Benjamin Clement have hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first within Mentioned

At a Court held for Halifax County the xxth Day of November 1760

The within Indenture and the Memorandum of Livery of Seizen and Recet. hereon indorsed were by the within named Benjamin Clement acknowledged to be his Several Acts and Deed and Susannah his Wife being privately Examined as the Law directs, relinquished her right of Dower in and to the Land and Premises Conveyed. All which were Ordered to be Recorded.
