  This Indenture made the ninth Day of April one thousand seven hundred and Sixty one Between Stephen Clement of the County of [too light to read] of the one part and John Abston of the Same County of the other part Witnesseth the said Stephen Clement for and in consideration of the sum of Forty pounds Current Money by the said John Abston to the said Stephen Clement in hand Paid at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he the said Stephen Clement doth herby Acknowledge and the said Stephen Clement his Heirs and Assigns thereof and therfrom doth herby forever acquit Exonerate and Discharge hath Granted bargained and Sould and by these Presents doth Grant bargain Sell Elienn off and Confirm unto the said John Abston & his Heirs and Assigns all that Tract or parcell of Land containing by Estamation Four hundred and four Acres be the same more or less Situate Lying and being in the County of Halifax and Bounded as follows Beginning at Willcoks Corner Maple in the Lowgrounds of the said Creek thence a new Line South Forty Degrees East Twenty seven Poles to Pointers in Andersons Line thence on his Line South Sixty five Degrees West two hundred and Twenty Poles to a pine thence New Line North Seventy five Degrees West one Hundred and eighty two Poles to a pine North three Degrees west one hundred and seventy six Poles crossing the Creek to Pointers North Eighty eight Degrees East two hundred and seventy Poles to Pointers in Willcoks line thence on his Line South forty Degrees East one Hundred and fifty two poles to crossing the Creek to the first Station Together with all and Singular the houses Buildings fences Orchards Woods underwoods ways Waters Meadows feedings and all other Benifits and Advantages Whatsoever to the said Land Belonging or in any wise Appertaining and all the Estate Rite title Interest use Property Reversion Claim or Demand of the said Stephen Clement or in or to the same or any part or parsell thereof To have and to hold the said four Hundred and four acres of Land be the same more of Less with all every its appeartenances to the said John Abston his Heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Abston his Heirs and assigns forever and to no other use Intent or purpose Whatsoever and the said Stephen Clement for him self and his Heirs do Covenant and Agree to and with the said John Abston that the said Stephen Clement shall and will Warrant and forever Defend the said Land and Premises hereby Granted unto the said John Abston and his Heirs from the Claim or Claimes of all and every person or persons whatsoever to the said John Abston his Heirs and assigns shall and may From time to time and at all times forever hereafter freely peaceably and Quietly Enter into and upon have hold use Occupy possess and Injoy the said Land and Premises hereby granted without the Lawfull Lett Suit Trouble Denial Molestation Disturbance of the said Stephen Clement him or his Heirs or Assigns or any other Person or Persons Whatsoever and also all that the said Stephen Clement shall and will at any time hereafter at the Request and Proper Cost and Charge in the law of him the said John Abston his heirs and assigns Make and Excute or Cause to be made and Executed such further or other lawfull and Reasonable acts and conveyances and Assurances whatsoever as shall be adjudged Necessary for the Quiet Enjoyment of the above mentioned Granted Land and Premises to the said John Abston his Heirs and Assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Stephen Clement have hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year first above written. The within written Indenture with the Menmorandum of Livery of Seizen hereon indorsed were acknowledged by the within named Stephen Clement to be his Act and Deed All which were Ordered to be Recorded
