This Indenture
made and enterd into this 17th day of November 1817 between William Gill
& Nancy his wife of the one part and Vachel
Clement of the other part all of Kentucky State & Barren County
Witnesseth that the said William Gill & Nancy his wife for and in Consideration
of Twoo hundred and sixteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof
is herby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain
sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Vachal
Clement one certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in said
state & county adjoining Dennis Kellys tract & Vachel
Clement & others Containing seventy two Acres & bounded as follows,
To wit, Beginning at the Begining Corner of said Gills 125 acre survey as
assee of Pucket at Two white oak stumps near the limestone spring thence
S 40 W 106 poles to a black Oak & white Oak Original corner thence S
25 E 26 poles to a post Oak thence S 61 W 39 poles to three post oaks on
Richard Owens path near his cave thence N65 W 62 poles to two black oaks
and a Hickory on the Originl line thence with the same N 20 E 130 poles
to three black Jacks his & Joseph Marlins corner thence S75 E 100 poles
to the Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said land
with its appurtenances to the said Vachel
Clement & his Heirs forever and the said William Gill & Nancy
his wife do hereby quit claim to said Land and do and will forever Warrant
and Defend to the said Vachel Clemant
& his Heirs a good and sufficiant lawful right & title, to said
tract of Land in Fee Simple free from the claim or claims of all and every
person or persons Whatsoever Given Under our hands & seals the day &
date first above Written

County Court Clerks Office November 17th 1817
This Indenture from William Gill & Nancy his wife to Vachal
Clemment was on the day of this date hereof acknowledged before me in
office by the said William Gill and wife to be their act and Deed she the
said Nancy Gill being by me privily examined apart from her said husband
relinquished her right to Dower in the Land specified in said Indenture
and thereupon admitted to Record
