  This Indenture made the twenty seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & sixty three Between John Hubbard of the County of Amelia & Keziah his Wife of the one part & Christopher Ford of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the Sum of Eight Pounds sixteen shillings Current Money to the said John in hand paid by the said Christopher at or before sealing & delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the said John Hubbard & Keziah his Wife Have granted Bargained & sold Aliened and confirmed & by these Presents do grant Bargan Sell Alien & confirm unto the said Christopher Ford his Heirs & Assigns one certain tract or parcel of Land containing Fourteen acres lying & being in the County of Amelia adjoyning the said Christopher Fords land whereon he now lives being part of a larger Tract of Land conveyed to the said John Hubbard by Joseph Hubbard his Father by his deed duly Recorded in the County Court of Amelia bearing date the twenty seventh day of October one thousand seven hundred and Fifty seven & bounded as followeth , to wit, begining at two corner White oaks on the said Christopher fords line thence East sixty nine Poles to the main Road thence up the said Road north forty nine degrees West fifty six Poles to a bent in the Road thence along the said Road north Forty five degrees West forty three poles thence south sixty nine poles to the begining with all Houses buildings Woods Waters Profits Commodities Hereditaments & appurtenances thereto belonging & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders thereoff & all the Right Title Estate & Interest of him the said John Hubbard & Kezziah his Wife of in & to the same To have & to hold all & singular the Premises with the appurtenances to the said Christopher Ford his Heirs & assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the said Christopher Ford his Heirs & Assigns forever & the said John Hubbard for himself & his Heirs doth covenant & grant to & with the said Christopher Ford his Heirs & Assigns that he the said John Hubbard & his Heirs the said Land & premises with the appurtenances unto the said Christopher Ford his Heirs & Assigns against the lawful claim & demand of all & every person & persons whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangably set their Hands & Affixed their Seals the day & year first above written

This Indenture was acknowledged by the within named John Hubbard & Kezziah his Wife parties thereto and ordered to be Recorded the said Kezziah having been first privily examined as the Law directs
