  This Indenture made the thirteenth day of September One thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty one Between Joel Meadors of the County of Amelia of the One part & William Clement of the Same County of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Joel Meadors for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty thousand pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said William Clement the Receipt Ware of the said Joel Meadors doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Granted Bargained and Sold & By these presents doth grant Bargain Sell and Confirm Unto the said William Clement his heirs and Assigns forever One Certain Tract or parcell of Land Containing Fifty Acres be the same more or less Situate and being in the foursaid County of Amelia & bounded as follows Begining at A poplar ajoining Jessey Seay Line Thence to a white oak ajoining Jonas Reynard Line thence to a white oak ajoining John Gills Line thence to a pine ajoining Jessey Seays Line thence to the Begining To have and to hold the land together with Woods Under Woods Orchards Waters Water courses and all the Appurtenances thereunto belongin or In any Wise appertaining & the Said Joel Meadors doth for himself his heirs & c Covenant and agree & with the said Wm. Clement that the bove Granted Land & premises to his heirs and assigns for Ever as Witness my hand and & Seal the day and year above Written
