This Indenture
made this twenty seventh day of November in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand
Seven hundred and Seventy Six Between John
Clements of Amelia County of the One part and Edward Booker of the Said
County of the other part Witnesseth that the said John
Clements for An inconsideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds Current
money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Edward Booker the Receipt
thereof he doth hereby Acknowledge hath granted bargain'd and sold and by
these presence doth grant Bargain and Sell and confirm unto the Said Edward
Booker And his Heirs and assigns forever one Certain tract of Land Lying
and being in the County aforesaid and Containing two hundred and Eighty
Eight Acres of Land and bounded as follows Beginning at a Corner on George
Hams line thence along the said to a small stream thence down the Said Stream
by a line of Markd Trees to A branch thence down the Said Branch According
to its Meanders between the Said Land and John Hugh's to a line of A marked
Trees on the Said Hugh's Land to A corner on Jacob Seas Land thence A long
said Seas Land to two Corners and thence along said Seas line to a glade
on John Clements line thence along
said Clements line to George Hams
line thence along said Hams to the beginning Containing 288 acres more or
less together with the Reversion and reversions Remainder & Remainders
thereof And Every part and parcel thereof with all houses Orchards Fences
and all appurtenances whatsoever to the Same belonging or in Any wise Appurtaining
To have and to hold the said Land and premises unto the said Edward Booker
his Heirs and assigns to the only proper use of the said Edward Booker his
Heirs & assigns for Ever and the said John
Clements for himself And his Heirs the said tract or parcel of Land
and premises with the Appurtenances unto the Said Edward Booker his Heirs
and Assigns to the Only proper Use and behoof of the Said Edward Booker
his Heirs and assigns for Ever and the said John
Clements for himself and his Heirs the Said Land and premises Against
him and his Heirs and all Persons from by or under him them or any of them
to the Said Edward Booker His Heirs and Assigns shall and will warrant and
forever Defend by these presence in Witness whereof the Said John
Clement hath hereto Set his hand ans Seal the day and year above Written
