This Indenture
Made this Thirtieth Day of March One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty four
Between Robert Hancock of the one part and Francis
Clement the Other party both of Amelia County witnesseth that the said
Robert Hancock for the Valuable Consideration of Thirty Four Pounds Current
Money of Virginia to him in hand paid Before the Ensealing and Delivery
of these presence the Receipt whereof I do hereby Acknowledge my Self to
be fully Satisfied Contented and paid by these presents have given Granted
Bargained Sold alinated and Confirmed do by these Presence Fully Cearly
Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alianate Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the
said Francis Clement Eighty Eight
Acres of Land Lying and bounded as followeth On Jacob Seay John Cook George
Ham Nicoles Gillintine & Moses Eastus Seventy
four Acres formerly Conveyed from William Clement Junr. to William Compton
And fourteen Acres Conveyed by Moses Eastis to the said Compton by a former
deed To the Said Compton Acknowledged in Amelia Court with All houses buildings
woods and all other prophets and Commodities to the same belonging to have
and to hold The said Land and premisses with their Appurtenances to the
Said Francis Clement his Heirs
and Assigns to the Only proper Use and behoof of him the said Francis
Clement his heirs and Assigns for Ever and the Said Robert Hancock For
himself and his Heirs the Said Land and premises Against him and his heirs
and All persons Claiming from by or under him or Any of them to the said
Francis Clement his Heirs &
Assigns Shall and will for Ever warrant and Defend by these Presence In
witness Whereof the said Robert Hancock hath hereunto set his hand and Fixed
his seal the Day and year Above Written
Memorandum that on the Thirtieth Day of March One thousand Seven Hundred
and Fifty Four Livery and Seizen of the within mentioned Land and premises
waas Acknowledged to be made from Robert Hancock the ffeofer to Francis
Clement the ffeofe
Recd. of Francis Clement the Sum
of Thirty four Pounds Current Money It being In full for the said Land and
Premises within mentioned
At a Court held for Amelia County the 25th day of April 1754
Robert Hancock presented and Acknowledged this his Deed with Livery and
Seison & Receit Endorsed to Francis
Clement and ordered to be recorded
