This Indenture made this twenty second day May
One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty between Fras.
Clement of the one Party and William
Clement of the other Party both of Amelia County Witnesseth
that the said Frans. Clement
for Valuable Consideration of Two hundred & Fifty Pounds Current Money
of Virginia to him in hand Paid before the Insealing & Delivery of
these presents the Reciept whereof I do hereby Acknowledge myself to be
fully Satisfyed Contented and Paid by these Presents have given granted
Bargained Sold Alienated and Confirmed do by these Presents fully Clearly
Absolutly Give grant Bargain Sell Linate and Confirm unto the said William
Clement three hundred acres of Land by Estamation be the same more
or less lying and bounded as followeth, to wit, Begining at the River
on John Piggs line thene along John Piggs line to William
Clements line to John Clements
line thence along the sd. line to Rich. Jones.s thence along the sd. line
to George Bookers line thence Down the said the said line to Coxes line
to the River thence up the River to the begining with a Water Mill on
the said Land and River to have and to hold the said land and Premises
the said three hundred Acres of land the abovesd.
Frans. Clement hath granted bargained & sold unto the above said
William Clement his Heirs and
Assigns with all houses Orchards Gardins Fences Woods and under Woods
Waters and Water Courses thereon standing growing & being with all
Profits Comodetys and Advantages and Appurtenances Whatsoever the same
belonging or in any Wise Appertaining thereunto the Remainder and Remainders
Reversion and Reversions thereof and every Part and Parcel thereof the
said tract of Land with all and Singular the Appurtenances unto the said
William Clement or his Heirs
or Assigns to the only Proper use and and behoof of him the said William
Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever The Buring Place Excepted fifty
Foot Square and the said Fras. Clement
for himself and his Heirs the sd. land and Premises with all their and
every of their Appurtenances unto the said William
Clement or his Heirs and Asigns shall and Will Warrant and forever
Defend by these Presents against any Person or Persons Whatsoever in having
or Claiming any Lawful Right or Title in or to the same or any Part or
Parcel thereof and the said Fras.
Clement for himself and his Heirs Doth grant Covenant and agree to
and With the said William Clement
his Heirs and Assigns in manner and form following that is to say that
the said Fras. Clement at the
Time of Sealing and Delivering of these Presence is and Standeth Seased
of any Indefeasable Estate in Fee Simple of and in the sd. Premises and
that he hath Good Righ and Lawfull athority to sell and Convey the same
in manner and Form aforesaid and that the same shall forever Remain to
the said William Clement his
Heirs and Assigns Freely & Clearly exonarated and Discharged of and
from all and all manner of other and former Bargains Sailes and titles
of Dowrey and all others Rights and Estates whatsoever In Witness whereof
the said Fras. Clement hath
hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & year above Ritten. Memorandum That on the twenty second Day of May one thousand Seven hundred
and Sixty Peaceable and Quiet Possession and Seased of the within Granted
land & Premises was made done and Delivered I the within Named Fras.
Clement unto the within Named William
Clement according to the Form and Estate of the within Ritten Deed
in Presence of us. Francis
